JUDY DEMERS’ FALSE STATEMENT DATED AUGUST 23, 1989
Date incident allegedly occurred: August 23, 1989
Date of official medical school "dismissal": June 25, 1990
Date University first notified me of this charge: February 8, 1991
Medical records verify Dr. Eicher left the decision for continued therapy to me. Subsequent to my discovery, Judy DeMers utilized her University office for her own political aspirations DeMers tried everything to portray me as unstable and unfit for medical school. Nevertheless, Associate Dean Judy DeMers lied to University committees and ultimately the Court by creating and utilizing the following false statement to obtain my medical school dismissal.
JUDY DEMERS’ LIE
8-23-89 and 8-24-89 - I spoke with Dr. Eickner for approximately 20 minutes, by phone. We discussed how to help Vivian avoid or control her "panic states" I also told Dr. Eickner that Vivian had relayed to me that it was Dr. Eickner’s recommendation she not continue in therapy in Grand Forks. Dr. Eickner reported Vivian had told her the same thing, stating I had made the recommendation. I set up an 8-24-89 appointment with Vivian. She came in on 8-23-89 instead. I confronted her with this contradiction and provided options for obtaining on-going counseling---which I insisted on.
Accompanying chronological University record entries reveal DeMers concocted this prevarication long after dismissal.
Judy DeMers constantly talked about stress-she never mentioned anything positive regarding medical school, medical education or medicine-just stress.
