N.D. GETS LOW MARKS IN BUSINESS

MINNESOTA ONE OF EIGHT STATES TO MAKE SURVEY'S HONOR ROLL

A new national survey gives North Dakota several poor grades for its business climate, including a pair of D's in business vitality and development capacity.

THE 1999 DEVELOPMENT REPORT CARD FOR THE STATES RANKS NORTH DAKOTA NEAR THE BOTTOM OF THE NATION IN SHORT- AND LONG-TERM EMPLOYMENT GROWTH. THE STATE IS LAST IN FORMING TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES.

This situation is merely an extension of the poor attitude and fraudulent practices repeatedly demonstrated by the University of North Dakota and supported by the State of North Dakota over the years.
