Where Has All The Money Gone? The Same Old Issues Emerge At Higher Education Meeting
UNIVERSITY LEADERS AND LEGISLATORS AGAIN DISAGREE ON ISSUES SUCH AS FACULTY PAY AND RECIPROCITY
Faculty pay and the issue of reciprocity agreements were two of the many issues rehashed on Monday during the North Dakota University System's initial legislative hearing.
The majority of the all-day House Appropriations Committee hearing testimony centered on issues of higher education.
Each time discussions of the University of North Dakota's budget come up the same old topics are rehashed---faculty salaries, reciprocity agreements, the extremely expensive School of Medical to name a few.
UND mismanages and wastes an inordinate amount of money retaining bureaucrats interested only in their petty personal gains while jeopardizing the integrity of the University's programs and educational quality. Moreover, by failing to comply with its own University regulations, North Dakota generates numerous lawsuits. UND would save the taxpayers a fortune by firing such individuals and complying with regulations.
